Multichannel REC was born inside Surround Sound Lab, Kaizen Audio's immersive field-recording project. We needed a reliable, high-channel-count recorder that ran on a device we already carry everywhere — an iPhone or iPad — without giving up broadcast-standard quality.
Paired with the SPCMIC ambisonic array and a USB Class-Compliant interface, it turns an iOS device into a studio-grade multichannel rig. Version 2 is that idea, rebuilt properly.
