Tools built from
real sessions
Kaizen Audio makes professional tools for people who work with sound. Every product we ship was born from a real need in a real studio.
Blacktone Studio
Blacktone Studio is a sound supervision and post-production facility in Madrid, led by Alvaro de Iscar. For years, the studio has handled sound design, Dolby Atmos mixing, and location recording for film, television, documentaries, and streaming platforms.
It's where we work every day. And it's where every Kaizen Audio product gets its first real test — in active sessions, on real deadlines, with real clients.

From Foley to plugins
Alongside the studio work, two projects were born from specific creative needs:
Foley Collection
A library of Foley instruments for Kontakt — turning a MIDI keyboard into a complete Foley stage. Built from recordings made at the studio.
Surround Sound Lab
Immersive sound effects libraries recorded on location in surround. Over 60 volumes covering everything from city ambiences to vehicles and nature.
After years of developing these libraries and using dozens of plugins daily in the studio, the next step was clear: build the tools we wished existed.
Why Kaizen?
When we moved to our new studio, it was the right time to bring everything together — the studio, the libraries, and the new plugin development — under one roof.
We chose the name Kaizen (改善), a Japanese philosophy that means continuous improvement through small, deliberate steps. No dramatic overhauls. No hype-driven reinventions. Just consistent, meaningful progress — day after day, version after version.
That's how we build software. That's how we record sound. That's how we run the studio.
