CARBON is its own plugin. Load it on an instrument track and play — no Kontakt, no Kontakt Player, no library to add in Native Access.
Two footstep decks
Pick a surface and a shoe on deck A and deck B, then blend them with a single crossfader. Each deck has its own level, pitch and transient control.
Two clothing decks
Layer cloth movement under the steps, from a parka to a rain coat, with independent level and tune for each deck.
An EQ for every deck
Five bands plus high- and low-pass on each footstep deck, drawn over a live spectrum so you can see what you are shaping.
Rooms, distance and your own IRs
A convolution reverb with room presets, size and pre-delay, a Distance control that moves the performance away from the mic, stereo width, and a compressor. Or import your own impulse response.
Played, not programmed
Left foot, right foot and scuff on three keys, with velocity driving the performance. Keep the response of the original instrument or reshape it.

Foley Collection was recorded at Blacktone Studio in Madrid, with the same microphones, preamps and rooms we use on film and TV sessions every day.
CARBON takes that sound out of Kontakt and gives it a plugin of its own: faster to load, easier to shape, and built to be played from a MIDI keyboard without thinking about the tool — just the scene.

What is Foley Collection CARBON?
A native Foley instrument plugin from Kaizen Audio. It brings the footsteps and clothing of Foley Collection into a plugin of its own, with a new interface, per-deck EQ, rooms and your own impulse responses.
Do I need Kontakt?
No. CARBON is a standalone plugin and does not run inside Kontakt or Kontakt Player.
Which formats and systems will it support?
AAX, AU and VST3 on macOS. We will publish the full system requirements with the release.
When is it coming out, and how much will it cost?

I already own Foley Collection Originals. What happens to it?
